As soon as she stepped out, a car pulled over behind her and she heard her name.
“Jessica!!” the lady exclaimed and she knew who the voice belonged to.
“Priscilla?” She said to herself and she turned around.
“Jesss”, Priscilla said, stepping out of a brand new Honda car.
She couldn’t really see who who was at the driver’s seat but she knew that it was
Dean.
“Oh my God! Dean is such a crazy driver, I was literally screaming!” Priscilla said
to her.
“Is that his new car?” Jessica asked.
“Yeah, you’ve not seen it yet? He’s had it since yesterday!!” She said to her and
Jessica was surprised.
“How come you didn’t know about it? Are you two still in your weird non talking
state?” Priscilla asked her and Dean approached them.
“Hey”, he said to Jessica and he walked past her. “Priscilla, when you’re ready to
leave, let me know”.
“Alright”, she said, smiling and he walked away.
“Hey?? Are you two fighting?”
“Kinda”, she said to her.
“What did….Wait wait? Is that Richard?” She asked, pointing at the other car.
“Yeahhh”.
“Oh my God!! Can I say hi?” She asked, smiling.
“Yeahh, why not? Do you want an introduction?!”
“Yes!!!” She said in excitement and they both walked towards the car.
“Richard”, she said, knocking on the window and he quickly opened the door.
Priscilla had a huge grin plastered on her and when he stepped out of the car, it
became wider.
“Richard this is my younger sister, Priscilla”, she said to him.
“I can see that, she looks just like you. Hi Priscilla”, he said, giving her a hug and it
made her smile even more.
“How are you doing?” He said, releasing his grip.
“I’m good. How are you?”
“I’m also good. How’s school and how’s everything with you?”
“School is great”.
“Okay”, he said to her and they both looked at each other in awkward way. They
didn’t know what else to say.
“So yeah, I’ll see you around”, Priscilla said to him.
“Yeah, I’ll look forward to seeing you around”, he said to her and she smiled.
“I’ll be back”, Jessica said to him and she left with Priscilla.
“Oh my God, he’s so fine and charming. The way he speaks is just so different, like
it makes you feel like everything will be fine”.
“Yeahhhh”, Jessica said, smiling.
“Now, I see why you’re so into him”, Priscilla said, chuckling as they walked into
the building.
“So what’s up with you and Dean? What happened?”
“I moved out last night”.
“What? Last night? To where?”
“Richard’s place”.
“Jessica! Why will you move one man’s house to another? And why did you leave
in the night?”
“Richard found out about my feelings for Dean and also our little intimate
moments”.
“Whoa. Was he mad?”
“Why do you think I moved out?”
“He forced you to move out?”
“No! He said he wasn’t cool with me staying here and he was a bit mad so he sort
of told me that if I stayed, he wasn’t going to move forward with our
relationship”.
“He said that?”
“Yeah but he was angry and although I didn’t like the way he sounded, I
understood him. I would have done worse if I was in his shoes”.
“True”, she said, chuckling. “But I don’t like the idea of you moving into his
house”.
“I don’t like it too but it’s just for a while till I find a place I like”.
“Do you have the money for that?”
“I got an advance today and it should be able to cater for it”.
“Wow! That’s great”.
“Yeah”.
“And is that why you and Dean are having a fight?” She asked as they walked into
the house.
“Yeah, he wasn’t too happy with me leaving last night and I practically walked out
on him. So, yeah”.
“Ohh! Why did you do that?” She asked.
“He was trying to speak up for me and I got mad at him”.
“What did he say?”
“He was just making it seem like I didn’t want to move and he said I was sad and
he also made it seem like Richard was forcing me to do something I didn’t want
to do”.
“Was there any truth to it?”
“Not really. I wasn’t too happy to just leave like that but hmm, I don’t even know
why I was so angry at him yesterday”.
“I think you were channeling your anger from something else and you put it on
him”.
“Yeah yeah, that’s it. And I feel really bad about it. I’m just hoping that he’ll speak
to me”, she said to her and they both walked into her room.
“Has Dean ever stayed mad at you? He’ll surely speak to you”.
“I hope so”.
“And where did the whole anger come from?”
“I don’t really know but I guess I’m just mad at myself that things turned out this
way”.
“Aww and my poor Dean received all the anger”, she said, pouting her lips.
“Now he’s your Dean again just because he gave you a free ride?” she said,
chuckling.
“Well, he’s now my favorite person, now that he’s not hurting you anymore”.
“I see. Anyway, I’m glad you’re here though, you’re going to help me pack”.
“You’re moving everything out?”
“Nope. Just a few things that I’ll need for a short while”.
“Okay”, she said to her and they took out one of her suitcases and they packed a
few things into it.
“All set”, Priscilla said to her.
“Thank you so much”.
“You’re welcome”, she said to her and they stepped out of the room.
“Can you wait for me in the hall? I want to talk to Dean”.
“Alright, all the best and don’t do anything silly”, she said, giving her a face and
she grabbed the suitcase and walked away.
Jessica took a deep breathe and she knocked on the door.
She waited for a while and Dean opened the door.
“Can we talk?” She said to him and he nodded.
“What’s up”, he said to her.
“How are you doing?” She asked him.
“I’m good”.
“That’s great. I saw your car today. It’s really beautiful and it suits you”.
“Thank you”, he said, bluntly and she was quiet for a while.
“Uhmmm, about last night”, she said to him.
“I’m really sorry for leaving like that and not talking things out with you. I was
angry and I sort of placed it on you. I’m really sorry about that and I don’t want
things to become so bad between us”, she said to him and he was quiet.
“I know you were trying to stand up for me last night and I really appreciate it, I
was just not myself. I’m really sorry Dean”, she said to him and he nodded.
“It’s fine”, he said to her and she stared at him.
“Are you sure? It doesn’t seem fine”.
“It’s fine Jess”, he said to her and she nodded.
“I just came to pick some of my stuff, I’ll be going house hunting tomorrow and
when I get a place, I’ll come for the rest of my things”, she said to him.
“Okay”, he said to her and she wasn’t too happy with his response but she knew
that it was because he was still mad at her.
“Okay, I’ll be leaving now and I’ll see you at the dinner this weekend”, she said to
him.
“Sure”.
“Goodbye Dean and have a good night”.
“Bye”, he said to her and she left.
“Priscilla are you ready to go back to school?” He yelled.
“Yeahh!!”
“Okay, I’ll be with you soon”.
“Alright, I’ll be at the car park”, she said to him.
“Okay”, he said to her and he walked back into his room.
The following day, Richard picked up Jessica from work and they went house
hunting.
He took her around and they checked out different places.
“I’m not really feeling this place. I think I prefer the other one”.
But this one is really spacious and it has a big kitchen”.
“The other one has a very big room. I think I’ll prefer that than a big kitchen. It’s
not like I’m going to cook that much”,
“Mmm, okay. Then let’s go back to the other place”, he said to her and they left.
They went back to the other side, looked around again and she decided to go with
it.
As soon as they stepped out of the room, they saw Dean in front of the room
opposite hers.
